We are proposing to arrange a moderate water coaching weekend 19th – 20th October at Portland, Dorset. The coaching will be provided by Sea Kayak Dorset https://www.seakayakdorset.co.uk who come highly recommended. We will be able to tailor the coaching to the wishes of the group. This is a great opportunity to further enhance skills and partake in late season paddling not too far from London (and before the clocks go back).
The cost of the coaching is £189 per person for the weekend including kayak hire and all kit.
There is a range of accommodation options near the base including the Aqua hotel which is designed for water sports groups and has kit washing and drying room facilities. https://hotelaqua.co.uk The price of rooms is around £50 per night for twins (we will arrange rooms shares for those that wish) and £75 per night for a single.
There are train options to Weymouth and we will look to arrange car shares. We will not be transporting any kayaks from the Arches for this trip although those with their own kayaks are of course welcome to bring them.
You will also need to budget for meals and contributions to petrol for drivers (if you car share).
