Club Locations

Cremorne Riverside Activity Centre

Cremorne Riverside Activity Centre, Cremorne Gardens, Lots Road, London, SW10 0QH.

The Club’s main base is Cremorne Riverside Activity Centre which was opened in 2008 by the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea.  It is run and supported by the borough’s Youth Support and Development Services to provide an active, inclusive and exciting programme for young people and the wider community throughout the year.

The Centre is approved by the British Canoe Union (BCU) and licensed as an outdoor activity centre by the Adventure Activities Licensing Authority (AALA).

The Centre is fully accessible and comprises two buildings, lozenge-shaped in plan with roofs pitched in different directions.  One houses the boat store and offices, the other changing rooms and toilets.

The walls are insulated with wool from Cumbria, heating is through a ground source pump, made easier by the high water table.  Other sustainable features include use of demolition material to furnish rubble for the brown roof – a grass roof alternative that provides a habitat for spiders and other insects.

The Centre is accessed through Cremorne Gardens at the top end of Lots Road (adjacent to Cremorne Road).

Other Places

Lots Road Pub and Dining Room, 114 Lots Road, London, SW10 0RJ

After a session on the Thames most people invariably head to the Lots Road Pub to ‘unwind’ and catch up after the session – it’s a great opportunity to chat to some of the members about the Club and find out how to get involved.  What’s more if you’re a member of the Club you get 10% off at the bar!

Hurlingham Yacht Club, 43A Deodar Road, London, SW15 2NP

The Club enjoys an excellent relationship with the Hurlingham Yacht Club – on paddles up towards Putney the Club occasionally calls in to their Clubroom / Bar to say hello before heading back to Cremorne.  The Club’s trailer is also kept on premises owned by the Hurlingham Yacht Club.
